An alcoholic hitman heads to the West Coast to dry out, trying to get himself under control while leaving his violent work behind for a time. There, he befriends a sharp-tongued woman whose blunt style cuts through his isolation. But his life in Buffalo is not finished with him, and when the time comes to return and settle old scores, their unlikely connection may prove useful.
