During a snowmobiling trip, a group of college friends gets lost in a fierce winter storm and is forced to seek shelter in an abandoned sanitarium. What seems like a refuge from the cold soon turns dangerous when they discover they are not alone, and the deserted building becomes a trap surrounded by deformed cannibals.
