During World War I, the fighting at the Battle of Messines has settled into a deadly stalemate. To find a way through, a group of British miners are recruited for a dangerous mission beneath the battlefield. Tunneling under no man’s land toward the German front, they must use their skills underground to plant explosives from below and help break the deadlock above.
