The Proposition opens with fierce gunfight between the Charlie Burns bandit and the police. Finally, all four junior are killed, only Charlie and Mikey Dull survives. Police commander, Capt Stantley (Ray Winstone), makes a proposal form Charlie to exchange free for them. Charlie must kill Arthur-his brother. Arthur’s cruelty and shooting becomes a legend. Both Indians and police do not dare to come near the barrack of Arthur, who is dubbed “The dog man”. Charlie has 9 days to find and kill his brother, otherwise Mikey will be hanged on Christmas.
