Detective James Lee Wong investigates the murder of an antiques collector whose possession of a famous jewel may have made him a target. The gem, a priceless sapphire known as the Eye of the Daughter of the Moon, was stolen in China and smuggled to America. As Wong searches for it, the case leads him into Chinatown and the feared House of Hate, where the cursed stone may claim more lives.
