After an earthquake shakes California’s Imperial Valley, giant prehistoric mollusks are released from beneath the earth and make their way into the region’s canal system. As the creatures spread through the waterways, they begin killing people and terrifying the local population, turning an ordinary valley into the hunting ground of monsters from another age.
