Seconds before Earth is scheduled for demolition by an alien construction crew, journeyman Arthur Dent is pulled off the planet by his friend Ford Prefect. Ford is not just a helpful companion, but a researcher working on a new edition of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and Arthur suddenly finds himself carried from ordinary life into a much larger universe.
