Years after the original Woodsboro murders, survivor Sidney Prescott returns home while promoting a new book about living through trauma. Her visit is meant to reconnect her with the past on her own terms, but a new Ghostface killer soon appears, shifting the town back into fear and turning attention toward a new group of local teens.
