A psychiatric hospital’s fragile routine is disrupted when a mysterious drifter is admitted and placed in room 316. With no identity beyond the name John Doe, he quickly becomes the focus of attention among the other patients, who are struck by what they see as an uncanny resemblance to Jesus Christ. As his presence unsettles the institution, the hospital is thrown into confusion.
