A movie star and his unsuccessful friend are racing to finish a new script for a zombie film when a strange idea takes hold: they and another companion realize none of them has ever felt true fear. Over the course of one night, they try to scare one another through escalating tricks, but a prank goes wrong and causes an accidental death, forcing the friends to stay calm while deciding how to hide the body.
